Yin Yoga and Restorative Shiatsu Winter Workshop
Embrace Stillness, Deepen Connection, and Cultivate Balance

As winter settles in with its slower rhythms, it’s the perfect time to turn inward, relax, and reconnect with ourselves. This special workshop is designed to help you unwind, release tension, and deepen your understanding of your body through a combination of Yin Yoga and Zen Shiatsu bodywork.

 

The Workshop:
The session begins with a gentle Yin Yoga practice, resting through slow-motion, long-held poses that open energetic channel pathways and connective tissues. This practice encourages participants to slow down, drop into their bodies, and cultivate a sense of comfort and relaxation. As the body softens and energy begins to flow, you will be guided through a series of restorative poses to further support release and rejuvenation, leaving you deeply relaxed and grounded.

 

Once the body is fully at ease, we will shift our focus to Zen Shiatsu — a form of Japanese bodywork that uses acupressure, stretches, and gentle touch to promote balance and harmony within the body. In this part of the workshop, you will learn the basic principles of Zen Shiatsu, including how to use pressure along energy channels (meridians) to release blockages, support circulation, and enhance well-being.

 

This workshop is accessible to all levels. Join us for a day of deep relaxation, healing, revitalization, and an exploration of how movement, stillness, and touch can restore balance to body and mind this winter season.

 

 

What to Expect:
-A calming Yin Yoga sequence designed to relax the body and mind.
-Restorative poses to allow deep healing and renewal.
-Introduction to Zen Shiatsu techniques, including partner work (optional) and self-care practices.
-Insights into Yin, the seasonal energies of winter, and how to support your body during colder months.
-Tools for deep relaxation, stress relief, and body awareness.

 

Bring comfortable and warm clothing, water, any extra cushions or supports you need, an open mind, and a willingness to embrace stillness. We look forward to sharing this nurturing experience with you!
